Mother of three brings washable nappies to the high street 

Having chosen to try cloth nappies for her third child, Gilly Porter quickly found it wasn’t as easy as abc!  Internet shopping proved frustrating, mainly because she couldn’t see or touch the products first so was constantly returning nappies that weren’t right. 

Also, being new to the washable game, Gilly was desperate for practical, straight-forward advice on ranges, styles and equipment, but was overwhelmed by too many sites with conflicting information.

So, armed with 12 years’ experience as a Marks & Spencer retail manager, Gilly decided to bring real nappies to the high street – making them accessible and easy to buy.

Her priorities were: to stock high quality brands that she had personal experience of; and employ knowledgeable staff to give friendly advice.

Also important was to show a new generation of customers that modern-day washable nappies are colourful, soft and fashionable… a million miles from the nappy pins and leaks of old!
